I have just a few ideas for tips and techniques remaining that I will be posting soon.

If anyone has a special request for something that I may be able to assist – please just add a comment and request it.

Best Regards

  1. Would you share an example of how to approach integrating the creation of install packages with a daily VS 2008 build process. (solution is stored in Visual Source Safe).

We have a dedicated build machine so I know the IS 2009 Standalone Build will be a part of the strategy – I’m just interested in reading an example of how this is done.

    • Thanks for requesting a bit on integrating InstallShield within an Automated Build. Then new blog should be of interest. The best lesson is to make the Deployment directory the InstallShield uses to pull in client files exactly like the output of the installation process. Don’t have the InstallShield project retrieve files from the \BIN directory or any other location in the compiled output areas.
